Damage Scaling
Damage scaling is a mechanic that makes moves deal less damage as the combo goes on.
The scaling value starts at 0, and progressively increases with each hit. Weaker hits increase scaling more than heavier hits. The numbers is increased by 5 minus the attack level.
The damage each hit deals is equal to 100 / (100+X) with X being equal to the total damage scaling value.
Infinite Prevention System
The Infinite Prevention System (IPS) prevents infinite combos. Each time you get hit with an attack you already got hit by in this combo, you get one IPS strike. If you get 3 strikes, you burst out immediately and for free.
Using Rage Surge resets your strikes, and also resets the move history the first time it's used in a combo. The second time however, it will give you a strike instead.
